LOS ALTOS sales continued to be steady with an average number of homes going pending again this week. For the week ending September 15, there were five homes sold in the city of Los Altos, and there were 68 active listings compared to 65 the week before. In Los Altos Hills, two properties went pending this week. In the prior week, no  properties went pending. There are 46 active properties compared to 45 one week ago.

LOS ALTOS BLOG

Sales activity in Los Altos was about the same as last week and inventory dropped considerably. Five homes went pending, but the inventory went down by 8 units indicating that some sellers are pulling listings from the market. Housing supply is currently 57 units representing approximately 3 months of supply. In Los Altos Hills, two homes went pending and there are 40 units  on the market.

Los Altos sales  activity moderated a bit this week with 5 homes going pending in the city of Los Altos. There are currently 63 active listings in Los Altos down slightly from the previous week. One home went pending in Los Altos Hills, and inventory dropped by two units. Overall, the market in Los Altos appears to be steady, with no obvious areas of weakness.

LOS ALTOS sales surged this week after two average weeks. This week, nine homes went pending in Los Altos. For the week ending August 11, there were 66 active listings in the city of Los Altos compared to 68 the week before. In Los Altos Hills, there had been a flurry of activity with 7 properties going pending over the last several weeks. This past week, no  properties went pending. There are 45 active properties compared to 44 one week ago.

LOS ALTOS sales were a bit off this week after two strong weeks with a total of 15 properties going pending. This week, four homes went pending in Los Altos. For the week ending August 4, there were 68 active listings in the city of Los Altos compared to 63 the week before. In Los Altos Hills, there has been a flurry of activity with 7 properties going pending over the last 3 weeks. This past week, one property went pending. There are 44 active properties compared to 46 one week ago.

LOS ALTOS BLOG - UPDATED  July 15, 2008

LOS ALTOS sales were a bit off this week, with only 2 homes going pending in Los Altos. However, this is after an unusually strong prior week in which 9 homes went pending. For the week ending July 14, there were 59 active listings in the city of Los Altos compared to 56 the week before. In Los Altos Hills, there has not been a pending sale for the past 2 weeks, something that is not unusual for this location. There are 44 active properties compared to 43 one week ago.

LOS ALTOS sales were flat this week, logging the same number of sales as the previous week. For the week ending June 9, there were 70 active listings with 5 properties going pending in the city of Los Altos compared to 5 last week. In Los Altos Hills, sales slowed after a strong streak, with 1 property going pending compared to 4 the prior week. There are 42 active properties compared to 42 one week ago.

Hopefully, this is a sign that the vast oversupply in the county is beginning to be worked off.
